18th and 19th May 2002 was the final CAC show before the summer break. This show was judged by Mr. Luis Pinto Teixeira from Portugal. Tara (Ch. Clavidar Vision and Verse at Jorico) won Best of Breed and also took the Group win over the Beagle. Biffa (Clavidar Singapore Sling at Jorico) Won the Open male class and went Best Opposite Sex in Breed to Tara. Biffa also gained his fourth CAC and is now our second FCI Champion Basset Hound.

In Group 4, Humpty (Clavidar Reddy to Rumble at Jorico) once again won both Best of Breed and also Best in Group. He was awarded his third CAC at this show.
9th/10th November 2002 was the MKC International CACIB Show. Once again one of the top judges, Mr Kari Jarvinien from Finland, came over to Malta to judge this show. We were also pleased to have David and Claire Darley over and David handled the dogs for this show. It was also the first ever qualifying event for CRUFTS 2003 in the UK.
First into the ring was the Mini Long Daxy (Humpty ~ Clavidar Reddy to Rumble at Jorico). David had him moving beautifully and he received a good report from Mr. Jarvinien aswell as awarding him the CAC and the CACIB and the Crufts qualification. He later went on to beat a very nice Smooth Haired Dachshund for Best in Group. This show, having obtained his 4th CAC, gave Humpty his Champion title.
Sunday was the turn of the Bassets. Henri (Clavidar Going Global at Jorico) was in the ring first. Again David did a wonderful job and took him on to win the Open Dog class easily. Biffa (Ch. Clavidar Singapore Sling at Jorico) took the Champion Dog class. Both dogs had very good reports from Mr. Jarvinien and after a long thoughtful period in the ring he finally gave the Best Dog ticket to Henri. This also qualified Henri for Crufts 2003. Mr. Jarvinien gave Henri the CAC and the CACIB with a Reserve CACIB going to Biffa. Like the Dachshund, Henri having won his 4th CAC at this show, he is also now a Champion.
Tara (Ch. Clavidar Vision and Verse at Jorico) Won the Champion Bitch class and Best Opposite Sex, beaten by Henri for the Best Of Breed. She also received a good report and was awarded a CACIB and the Crufts qualification. Henri went on to win Group 6 over the Champion Beagle.
